My September 2021 Goals and a few big picture dreams

September 2021 Goals.jpeg

I  did get a little restless this month preparing my tending list for the month. Whilst I love goal setting and planning there are sometimes days when it feels really draining. I decided to step back and take a slower approach this month. I broke down the tending list process over a week and chipped away at it.

Now I feel much better about having a tending list but also not forcing myself to complete it all in one go. If you have been following me for a while you know what product I’m going to mention next….

My Powersheets by Cultivate What Matters. I’ve always got them open on my desk and open to the tending list page. It is my daily reminder of why I’m doing everything I do.

I just love how they’re set up to help me track all my actions steps monthly, weekly and daily. I’m not an affiliate, I just really love the product and will happily recommend them to anyone looking to achieve their life goals. My biggest advice? Don’t be afraid to make a mess. When I bought my first set of Powersheets in 2017 I was so afraid to write messily in them that I ended up not making the most of them. I wrote neatly in them to make them “look nice” but didn’t focus on the life goals that meant something to me. They are pretty but what you need to remember is that they are a TOOL to help you in your life. IF a pretty planner overwhelms you then don’t use it! Find a notepad and pen or digital app and get going. Whatever you do don’t let your goals and tasks remain in your head taking up mental space and energy.

So, without further chat here are my September goals or rather action steps towards my big picture goals.

My monthly Items are geared around longer-term projects such as building Girl In Blue London and the coaching business. I’ve also added planner set up so that I remember to set up my planner for Q4 of 2021. Is it me or is anyone else shocked at how this year has moved despite all the dramas of COVID19?

My weekly and daily items haven’t changed from August, [and this is intentional. August helped me to build some super strong daily and weekly habits and I’m continuing them for the next few months to help ingrain them in my mind. I have no problem keeping the daily items the same for the whole year if that is what works for me lol.

With it being September I’m also thinking about Q4, the end of the year and the beginning of 2022. Here are some rough ideas of things I want to work towards later in the year and perhaps next year:

  • YouTube videos that go into detail from my blog posts

  • Book reviews – I haven’t fleshed out how this will work yet or if I want to put this on YouTube but there are SO many powerful books I’m reading now that I want to share them.

  • Goal setting from the beginning – how to go from brainstorming the bigger picture to getting into the detailed view for day-to-day actions.

What things are you working on this month? Let me know in the comments so that I can cheer you on!
