My official 90 day journey

90 Day journal for Summer 2021.jpeg

I’ve started this challenge about 5 times and never really kept it going. Why? Because each time I did this I set up unrealistic targets for myself. Things like loose 10 kg in 3 months or lose 15% body fat in 3 months or other things like NO dairy or 100% vegan foods. You can guess what happened next lol.

I was great for a few days [ok maybe 48 hours] then either an event or meeting would happen and I would literally throw my plans out the window. Solid strategy for success right??!! I KNOW!

I decided June 1st would be my official start for my refreshed 90 day journey.

Here are my “rules”:

1.     Eat fruit and veg daily – the closer I can get to 5 a day the better but even one or two portions is a START.

2.     Drink between 500ml and one litre of water per day – I’m on track with this thanks to my powersheets so keeping this going is more momentum and less of a problem.

3.     Cut down processed sugars and junk i.e biscuits, crisps, pastries (anyone else have a weakness for pain au chocolat croissants??)

4.     Movement every single day. This can be anything from a 20 minute walk round the park to a 45 minute pilates session. It’s about doing something to get my heart rate up! I find walking round the park with family one of my favourite things to do lately so I’m hoping to do much more of that!

5.     Eat three meals a day – this is pretty basic but I have been known to skip breakfast and go straight for a cup of coffee. In May I started working on this so again I’m not feeling too worried about this one. We’ll see how this goes for the second half of the year.

6.     Weekly weigh ins – to see the connection between my eating, drinking, workouts, sleeping, moods, and my weight loss. I’m going to be tracking EVERYTHING. Not to be obsessed but more to see what works for me and what doesn’t.

I’m using the 90 Day Journal from Popflex active (featured in the above blog photo). If you want to start your own 90 day journey along side me and fancy buying this journal please let me know and I will send you a link to purchase it from. Alternatively if you fancy joining me but would rather have accountability and use your own tracking method message me and I can send you regular messages to boost your motivation.

Lastly – I found this recipe for a high protein breakfast smoothie that I’ve been using lately and it is DELICIOUS!

I’m super excited to incorporate this as part of my daily diet plan. When I say diet plan I mean the meals I’m eating. I don’t believe in going on diets that restrict what you can eat. In my opinion things like rice and pasta are NOT the issue but quantity and portion size are!

What are some of your favourite breakfast smoothie recipes?
